CF4 : Retirement planning
The CII's CF4 exam focuses on retirement planning and is a fundamental part of the Certificate in Financial Planning. It is a 1-hour multiple choice question paper consisting of 50 questions, with a pass mark of 70%.
The exam syllabus covers the effect of retirement planning on clients, the effect of tax and legislation on retirement planning, the types of individual, occupational and State pension schemes, the main options for drawing benefits at retirement, alternative investments used as a part of retirement planning and the effect of divorce on retirement planning.
