CF2 : Investment and risk
The CII's CF2 exam focuses on investment and risk. As well as forming a fundamental part of the Certificate in Financial Planning, it is also a requirement for many advisers who already hold the predecessor to the Certificate in Financial Planning. It is a 2-hour multiple choice question paper consisting of 100 questions, with a pass mark of 70%.
The exam syllabus covers economic and other factors affecting investment returns, asset classes and product types, the role of ethical investments, investment risk and how it affects returns, risk profile of investors, taxation, asset allocation and various other issues affecting investment planning.
